Description: This is a must see video of cziffra! He does a bunch of improv and basically shows off his skill while warming up. Note: This is amazingly not a performance but a filmed test of the piano. Thanks to busoniliszt, This is the breakdown of some pieces that he visits: 1) 1:27 Liszt - Scherzo & Marsch 2) 3:39 Chopin - Etude op. 10 nr. 1 3) 5:10 Chopin/Liszt - Chant Polonais (Madchens Wunsch) Also there is a bit of Shostakovitch Op. 87 No. 7 discovered by nikkistride. He absolutely rips chopin's etude op.10 no.1. from the keys. The rest, is the ability of a professional mind. Enjoy! |

| dave231000 ::: Favorites Well, it's sounds similar, but I don't believe Cziffra played it purposly this way... But it's great, of course :-) 07-10-19 11:42:34 __________________________________________________ | |

| 0the0drifter0 ::: Favorites if i was an asshole i'd say: FAKE! but i'm not... i'd rather say: AMAZING!!! 07-10-10 18:14:17 __________________________________________________ | |
| vokuheila ::: Favorites We should have someone make a supercomputer that plays piano and have it enter a piano competition against cziffra (alive, hypothetically) 07-10-08 18:32:27 __________________________________________________ | |
| remyrem12 ::: Favorites I couldn't play that fast if I was just hitting random keys. 07-10-05 02:26:55 __________________________________________________ | |
| Bruce88keys ::: Favorites FOR THE MORONS BELOW By the way MAESTRO Cziffra is warming up for a tv show. Notice the cameras, and the fact he is in casual clothes and thanks the staff for allowing him to warm up"Iam finished" he says and the crew goes on setting up for the show. He is a fabulous artist. 07-10-02 13:49:38 __________________________________________________ | |
| fionasapple ::: Favorites i hope that by "chopi" you don't mean chopin as in Frederic Chopin 07-09-30 14:14:46 __________________________________________________ | |
| Segelfliegerkamerad ::: Favorites chopi is terrible but the piano player es pretty excellent 07-09-29 16:28:55 __________________________________________________ | |
| brianCIM ::: Favorites This is insane. i knew Cziffra had worked as a jazz pianist as well. i remember Tamas Vasary saying he heard him in a Budapest bar and thought there were 2 pianists playing when he came in. the most incredible improviser i have ever seen or heard is Art Tatum. he was almost completely blind too! go to my favorites and check out "yesterdays". would love to know what you guys think 07-09-20 11:57:43 __________________________________________________ | |
