Description: Bill O'Reilly interviews Neil Cavuto (another anchor on Fox News, his show called "Your World") about his opinions on Wal-Mart. Neil bashes opposers of Wal-Mart and defends the company citing it does a lot of good for poor people and U.S. economy. Bill and Neil then battle it out over gasoline prices (again). |

| bramcorleone ::: Favorites I don't get it.. How do you mean 'Americans'? You mean the entire world, right?! There is a term for it.. I forgot (maybe because of the alcohol, I'm not sure).. It basically means that a price increase doesn't affect the demand at all (or very little)! About gas not being in the free market.. I'm not sure about that. It is usually being trade with contracts, I think! 07-10-07 19:14:12 __________________________________________________ | |
| evildemocrat ::: Favorites I'm not sure if I made my point clearly in that last post. What I'm trying to say is that gas is not in the "free market". Most Americans have little or no choice about how much gas they use. For years the government has encouraged people to move to the suburbs, how else are they going to get to work? 07-08-23 11:25:49 __________________________________________________ | |
| evildemocrat ::: Favorites No other company gets away with that though. If GMC incurred some extra expenses one year, do you think they could get away with charging you 50,000 for a Chevy cavalier? The oil companies do not "need" to charge more, their profits are still reaching record highs. That means they are making more money under this so-called "shortage". 07-08-23 11:20:38 __________________________________________________ | |
| e1prezidente ::: Favorites ur right its not about choice, but the amount of ppl needing gas is increasing in terms of population constantly growing, urban sprawl is growing so a greater distance is needing to b travelled..a growing economy needs more gas, demand *will* outstrip supply 07-08-23 07:07:18 __________________________________________________ | |
| evildemocrat ::: Favorites Explain this to me, how can the oil companies justify increasing the price of gas due to supply and demand? The American people don't have a choice about buying gas...they need it to get to work, school, store. 07-08-20 14:14:34 __________________________________________________ | |
| evildemocrat ::: Favorites Wal Mart has the poorest management I've ever seen in my life...and I've worked for the government. They pay full-time employees near-poverty wages where I live and give them absolutely no respect. 07-08-20 14:12:27 __________________________________________________ | |
